General conditions of participation
Based on Presidential Decree 7/2018, pursuant to the EU Directive 2015/2302
Please read the following General Terms and Conditions carefully,
which form an integral part of the package travel arrangement,
as well as information and any other recommendations given to you before you sign up on one of our organized trips. Participation in any
organized travel of our tourist office, requires careful
study of the program of the specific trip and means the
unconditional acceptance by the traveler / excursor of the General Terms of Participation, according to P.D. 7/2018. Therefore, you enjoy all the rights that
provided for in the EU for these packages. In the General Terms of Participation
general information as well as their rights and obligations
two parties to the package, while the special ones
information (destinations, prices, days and times of departure and return,
means of transport, accommodation, visits, etc.), which concern each organized
travel separately, you should consult the current program and
relevant price list. The travel plans are valid for the period that
listed in the relevant publications or on the Friends Travel website
(www.friendstravel.gr) (where any changes, corrections and
travel information, which is binding on all travelers) and indivisible
combined with the current price list.
GENERALLY
The signatory participant assumes full responsibility towards our tourist
for the persons for whom a representative declares, if they are not
duly fulfill their obligations under this contract. With the

travel destinations, itineraries and time intervals

general information on passport and visa requirements. The

responsibility. Any special wishes, needs or requirements regarding
your trip should be explicitly included in the contract, if any
agreed and feasible.
REGISTRATIONS – PARTICIPATION
Registrations are made by visiting our offices or by mail, fax,
phone and through our website on the internet, provided
(in order to reserve seats on the specific trip): 1st of her payment
advance payment provided in full or in full, in cash, through
credit / debit or prepaid card or by remittance to the tourist
office, within 48 hours, and 2nd of unconditional acceptance and compliance with
these General Terms. For valid registration, it must be listed
on the receipt of payment of the advance the specific trip, with the
departure and return dates and any other distinguishing features. The
right to participate in the trip, is secured with the payment of all
value and related charges 10 full days before departure,
unless otherwise specified in the relevant Convention. Any non-payment
total value of the trip at the scheduled time, entitles to

cancellation fees, in accordance with the cancellation conditions provided herein.
The party representing his family or group has the
obligation to inform all travelers represented by him
for the details and conditions of the trip. Participants through a third party
have the same obligations as the representative who enrolled them in the trip, and the tourist office makes available to them any relevant information, whenever
requested.

In case of non-performance of this contract or its improper execution, o
traveler must notify in writing within seven days of return
his travel agency or his representative.
Also, if the traveler for any reason requests any change in
program or has a particular wish, this must be disclosed
in writing to our travel agency, which bears no responsibility or
obligation to receive the request.
TRAVEL PRICES – CHARGES ETC.
The value-price of the trips is mentioned in our current price list. The
Travel prices are calculated on the day the price list is issued, with
based on the cost of services of each trip, the cost of fuel or others
energy sources, applicable fares / surcharges, any kind of taxes or fees,
the exchange rate of foreign currencies in relation to € (Euro), as well as any other
cost factor (eg minimum number of participants, etc.). Our tourist
office after exhausting any provision, reserves the right
price adjustment when the above cost factors change.
In particular, the price of the trip can be changed up to 20 days before the start
of travel services. This price increase will be notified to
traveler calculated in detail in a clear, understandable and distinct way.
In case of price increase to a significant degree (ie more than 8% of
value of the trip) for the above reasons, the traveler may complain the contract without paying the termination fee and to have it returned
exact amount paid. If the traveler terminates the contract
organized travel for the above reason, then the traveler can accept
another package of equivalent or superior quality. It is the traveler’s obligation to
notify our travel agency, in writing of any decision within
in a reasonable time, but in no case can
exceeds 3 days from the date of notification of the price increase.
In case the traveler does not respond in writing within the above
deadline, our travel agency is obliged to cancel the
his participation and return to him all the money he has paid without
no other obligation, taking into account the relevant cancellation fees
referred to in Article 11 below.
It is emphasized that the price of the trip does not include any extra cost
travel documents as well as any costs of medical examinations in compliance
national and Community provisions for the smooth running of the trip or even
entering or staying at the place of destination. These costs are paid by
the customer directly to the competent services and agencies, without having any
involvement and responsibility of Friends Travel.
Our travel agency has the right, for a certain period of time or for
limited number of seats, to pre-sell seats at more favorable prices, with
special conditions for cancellation fees.
Child charges vary on a case-by-case basis from free accommodation offer,
without food, in hotels and ships, up to a small discount (for ages 2-
12 years old, usually, and only when two adults pay the same
room / cabin).
Usually the prices do not include residence taxes and city taxes. In
Greece the accommodation tax per room / suite and per night is:
Hotel 3 *: € 1.50, 4 *: € 3.00, 5 *: € 4.00 and based on the relevant law
paid by the customer directly to the respective hotel.
When it comes to air travel, airlines always have reservations
the right to modify their itineraries and types
aircraft, without any warning. Our tourist office does not bring
no liability for any delay, change of flight schedule, change of type
aircraft or cancellation of the flight due to force majeure. The terms that
listed on the back of the airline ticket are commitments
directly between the airline and the traveler. Terms and conditions
of air flights, which regulate their responsibilities and obligations
airlines (either operating regular services or charter flights),
defined by the provisions of the applicable international conventions. The
our tourist office, in the context of its interest in its observance
of the excursion program, may provide the traveler with transportation with
airline other than originally listed in the program, if
there is an inability of the initially selected company to perform properly

airline will comply with international safe aviation rules
transport. For luggage transport applies as applicable from time to time airline policy (scheduled, low cost, chartered
flights). Our travel agency does not participate nor can it influence or
interferes with the process of loading and generally handling luggage from
airlines and handling services of different airports. As Mr.
therefore it bears no liability to the traveler for damage, loss or
baggage delivery delay. In similar cases his claims
traveler are directed directly against the airline in accordance with
applicable provisions of international law.
OBLIGATIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES OF TOURIST OFFICE
Our travel agency has the obligation to coordinate and execute with
the best possible way the travel available to travelers. Nevertheless,
having exhausted all means of anticipation and care, is not responsible for
wrongdoing and omissions of third parties and their associates,
as well as for emergencies such as cancellations, delays or changes
routes of the various means of transport, or in case of exclusion
(“Embargo”) areas due to terrorist acts, strikes and others
causes of force majeure.
It is emphasized that our travel agency is not able to predict or control
circumstances that are foreign to his sphere of influence and may lead
to the cancellation of the trip or to damages due to non-performance or defective
execution of agreed travel services. Characteristics
Examples of such cases are: strikes, accidents, illnesses,
epidemics, organic disturbances due to local conditions, altitude, climate,
due to meals not included in the itinerary or due
inadequate hygiene due to external factors, injuries or hardships
due to war, coups, terrorist acts, hijackings,
earthquakes, weather, fires, epidemics, toxic infections and
any other emergency or force majeure. In the above cases,
our travel agency does not bear any responsibility for any damage
caused by them, but will exhaust all efforts to
support and care for travelers in every way without it
constitutes for him a responsibility or obligation to cover the relevant emergencies
expenses, which should be covered, as in the cases of the above
violence, by the travelers themselves.
Our travel agency makes every good and possible effort for
more consistent and accurate adherence to the excursion schedule. In many
cases, however, due to unbalanced and unpredictable factors
situations, it becomes necessary to change and differentiate it
program. Possible change in the departure times of the means of transport
from morning to noon or afternoon and vice versa or boarding time at

Reasonable complaints during the trip should be reported immediately and
on the spot to the attendant (or, in the absence thereof, to our Agency), and to
the service provider in writing. If the problem that
highlighted could not be resolved on the spot after your return from
the trip, you must submit in writing to our office any relevant
complaint within 7 working days, along with any documents or
you have other evidence to justify it. After the expiration
7-day, our tourist office has no obligation to respond to any
requirement. If damage occurs due to non-execution or defective
execution of benefits of the organized trip, the compensation to the customer
limited to what is defined by the international conventions that bind the country and
governing those benefits. In particular: The compensation established by
non-execution or improper execution of the services of the organized travel,
is limited to twice the value of the cost per person of the trip.
In order to be able to make an organized trip, the
minimum number of 20 (twenty) participants (not included
children under 12 years). For long trips, the minimum number
participants is limited to 15 (fifteen) people or to the number that
determined by the program of the excursion. If this number does not
completed, our office reserves the right to cancel this
travel, and must inform the customers who had registered to participate in it
and return the money they had paid, without any other
obligation.
Our travel agency offers only the facilities mentioned in
descriptions of package tours. Any optional
Benefits are available at an additional cost, if possible
their implementation. It bears absolutely no responsibility for the optional benefits, the

After the completion of your trip, our travel agency will issue the
statutory tax documents, which will be received
from our offices.
OBLIGATIONS – TRAVELERS ‘RESPONSIBILITIES
Because other people are usually involved in organized travel, they are

guides and their timely arrival at the meeting places for various facilities of the program (flights, transfers, tours, excursions,

Travelers also have the sole responsibility for securing and
keeping the necessary travel documents required (passport,
visas, certificates, etc.), in order to participate in an excursion, respectively
with their n destination.
You should be at airports and ports for at least two (2) hours
before your departure. If no travel companion is provided, you must
confirm on the spot your next flights with the airline and to
make sure what time and from which airport and station (terminal) departs the
your flight.
In case a traveler interrupts his trip by his own decision and
leave the group, is not entitled to any further service or compensation
and the responsibility and costs of any travel outside the team are borne
exclusively and only him. In the same way, our office does not bring any
liability for package travel services which were not provided to
traveler by his own negligence or responsibility, due to his illness or sudden
his accident. In case the customer is prevented from participating in
organized trip in which he has reserved a place, can assign
(informing our Organization in writing) of his reservation in
another person who meets the conditions for participation in the trip in question,
no later than 7 days before the start of travel services, while for
sea transport the corresponding deadline is 10 working days before
the departure. The replacement (transferee) and the original participant (assignor)
are jointly and severally liable to our tourist office to
pay to him any outstanding balance of the amount, as well as the
any additional costs of this divestiture. It is clarified that any
change should be exactly within the same framework and will be acceptable
provided that all service providers in the organized trip (commercial companies,
hotels etc.) accept the changes. Travelers are responsible for
actions of the children who accompany them and must constantly supervise them as
throughout the trip for their safety and behavior.
Especially in the case of air carriers, it should be noted that no
the change of the personal data of the passenger is allowed, but only the cancellation
of the existing reservation and the reservation of a new place, if this is the case
it is possible with the corresponding cost. Our tourist office does not bring any
liability in case this is not possible, and the implied mandatory
cancellation of the reservation will be made in accordance with the provisions herein or cancellation terms by service providers. In the case of
airline tickets issued after return or multiple
routes are not always possible to use with individual legs of the ticket.The user should contact the travel agency directly in order to
be informed of the policy applied by each airline.
If the trip is interrupted due to quarantine or any hospitalization of the participant or for any further precautionary reason of public or country health
destination or any intermediate country, Friends Travel does not carry any
absolutely liability to the traveler for not providing part or all of them
agreed services, having no obligation for any kind
compensation or replacement of a service not provided at a later time.
HOTELS-ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEANS OF TRANSPORT
All information regarding their categorization or classification
hotels and accommodation listed in their programs
our organized or sold trips, are in line with current
legislation of each state on the tourist classification of hotels and
accommodation, which may vary from country to country. The rooms of
most hotels have two beds or a semi-double. The triples
rooms are, in essence, double rooms with extra beds. Usually not particularly
comfortable and the extra bed can be smaller than normal or sofa
or folding. Rooms are delivered from the hotel usually between 14:00-
16: 00΄ and is at the disposal of the tenants until 10.00΄-12.00΄ of the day
departure (depending on the policy of each Hotel). In case that
if you wish to enter the room earlier or leave later, you should
to pay the relevant charge (if such availability is available). If,
due to unforeseen difficulties, the tour operator is forced to change
hotel with another of the same or superior category, not obliged to another
compensation to travelers.
In case of late arrival at the hotel, after the day or time
of the scheduled arrival of the traveler, and if he has not informed
timely on the hotel, it has the right to cancel the reservation and to
provide the room for the entire period of booking, if requested.
In case of excessive bookings, our travel agency will
try to replace the room with another hotel room of the same
or if this is not possible with a lower hotel room
class and will return to the customer the difference that arose, without
bears no further responsibility or obligation.
In bus trips to excursions in Greece the seats are given in order
registration and do not change during the trip while on excursions
abroad change daily. Smoking on the bus is prohibited. THE
duration of an all-day visit / excursion does not exceed nine (9)
total hours, always calculated from departure to return
in the hotel. The half-day visit / excursion time will not
exceeds four (4) hours, always calculated from departure to
the return to the hotel.
Airlines, for their own reasons, sometimes charter
for their own flights planes of another airline. This case is not a reason to cancel the trip by the customer or claim any
compensation.
We recommend that you do not leave everything exposed and constantly monitor everything
your personal items (eg mobile phones, etc.) in any place (hotel,
ship, plane, etc.). Especially in hotels, it is international practice not to
take responsibility for money or valuables left in the room. For
in such cases there are often small safes.
INSURANCE
Our travel agency has concluded for every excursion it organizes
Liability insurance policy with an insurance company.
The insurance policy number and the details of the insurance company
listed in the package tour. The insurance policy
addresses, inter alia, the insolvency of the organizer,
covering all travelers regardless of their place of residence, the
place of departure or place of sale of the travel service.
It is a valid travel insurance policy that covers travelers
travel accident insurance, medical / hospital expenses from
accident, loss and delay of luggage, travel expenses as well
and the repatriation of travelers due to injury or illness and
other coverages, for persons under 75 years of age.
On the contrary, for people over 75 there is a specific coverage framework
travel insurance, limited to the following cases: Repatriation expenses
only by accident or death, loss of luggage, personal liability
traveler, emergency expenses due to delayed arrival of luggage more than 4
hours, travel expenses or cancellation if during the trip
a serious problem arises

luggage
Luggage is transported under the responsibility and care of its owners, independently

no responsibility for the contents of the luggage.
In air travel, only 1 piece of luggage per passenger is allowed, with a maximum
usually weighing 20 kg. In the event that additional costs arise, due heavier luggage than allowed, they are borne exclusively
and only the traveler and are paid on the spot at the airport. It is noted
also that airlines allow only one passenger cabin
small hand luggage (approximately 50x40x25). The traveler is
obliged to comply with the instructions, regulations and en
airline policy on the issue of overweight luggage for
which is solely the responsibility of the respective airline and therefore
our company bears absolutely no responsibility for this. In case of wear
or loss, the IATA Regulation applies.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our travel agency has the right to cancel, before departure, one
excursion, mainly due to events that constitute force majeure and for reasons
security. In this case the amount of will be returned to the traveler
money that has been paid, without him having any further claim
compensation. If during the trip reasons are presented which
impose its immediate cessation (war conflict, extreme weather events
etc.) the responsibility of our tourist office is limited to its repatriation
traveler by the most convenient means, without any other refund liability or
compensation, also an excursion can be canceled, due to non
completing the required minimum number of entries. In case
this our tourist office, is not responsible for any compensation, except
of a refund of money already paid, provided that
inform the traveler at least 5 days before the scheduled
departure date.
Respectively, every traveler has the right to cancel his participation in one
excursion. Cancellation is by written notice only and is valid from
date of receipt. If the cancellation is made up to 21 days
before departure, the traveler is charged with 60 euros / person for organizational
and communication costs. If canceled up to 14 days before the trip,
is retained by & # 39; person 40% of the value of the trip, as a penalty for
unproven damage to our office and done up to 7 days before departure
of the excursion, withholds 60% of the value of the excursion and if it is made
last week, the tour desk is entitled to withhold the whole
of the value of the trip, also as a penalty clause for its unproven damage. The
such deductions are made by whichever is the reason for the cancellation
of the trip (health reasons, extraordinary professional obligations, even

acceptance of the assignment by other bodies (airlines, hotel
etc.).
SETTLEMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS
We make sure that we are in line with the current legislation, both
at national and European level for the proper use of staff
data. For the provision of travel services, the traveler consents to
processing of his personal data, such as identifying data of his identity and information relating to the services he uses and
habits he has. Our travel agency and traveler are committed to resolving in good faith any dispute that may arise during the performance of his contract
organized travel.
In the event of failure of such efforts, the Parties undertake to
to address the Amicable Dispute Resolution Committee of the Association of the
Greece Tourist and Travel Agencies and to request its mediation.
If amicable settlement of the dispute is not possible, the Courts have jurisdiction
of Patras.
